| As 2006 comes to an end I can't help but blog about it. This isn't the typical "best of " but I must start with my "top 5" albums of 2006. Here are some of the things that made my 2006 a good one.
Top 5 albums (no particular ranking): 1. Bouncing Souls - The Gold Record 2. The Loved Ones - Keep Your Heart 3. The Lawrence Arms - Oh Calcutta! 4. Street Dogs - Fading American Dream 5. Heavens - Patent Pending
-Concerts attended: 5 -Age as of this moment: 15 and 4 days - High School started in September (it's not as bad as I anticipated) -Six Flags is fun. -Don't be a flume. -I can't even count the number of times I've been to the Glendale Galleria. -I started training for the L.A Marathon coming up in March. -Friends come and friends go, but as the Bouncing Souls song "True Believers" says " For good or bad I've known them all" - Puppet gloves be some gangsta ass shit. - Pancakes own waffles and you know it. -Potatoes rule my world (and yours). -Yoshica's House of Potatoes was created out of pure wackyness and is coming to a neighborhood near you soon. -Myspace took over my life. -My dog is a superhero and yours isn't. -Cuteoverload.com is the best. -San Francisco was better the second time around. - Northern California's coast is way better than most things Southern California has to offer. - Fatty Sea Lions feel like the second blanket down in a hotel bed. (Right Marisa?) -Conversations which are literally about nothing are the most fun to have. -Little Miss Sunshine made me laugh, then cry, then cry because I was laughing so hard. -Why take pictures with friends when you can just photoshop them in. -Don't be emo, be emotastic. -Second semester 5th period photo @ Rosemont was immense amounts of fun, most of the time. -Refering to people by codenames is better and more fun than calling them by their real names. -Lindsay Lohan is a fire-crotch and Paris Hilton is a fart in a mitten. -Brian, your logo still isn't good enough. -Oh, and Joe Strummer is still dead. Fuck.
2006 was good to me. I hope it was good to you as well. It had its ups and downs but that stuff can't be helped. As I conclude this "year end review" I say goodbye to 2006 and smell the winds of change up ahead. Here's to 2007 and all that's up ahead.

| Wow, I haven't been on Xanga in forever. It's not like anyone reads this anymore. Anyways, on October 18 I went to see The Loved Ones open for Less Than Jake at the House of Blues in Hollywood. The Loved Ones were great, of course. They played just about everything I liked to hear. They didn't play "Candy Cane" though. Oh well. That was my second time seeing them. I can't wait to see them again when they come back in '07. Hopefully, they'll come back and play at the Troubadour and headline. Less Than Jake were ok. I'm not really a fan. They were fun, though. In other concert news, I saw the Bouncing Souls and Street Dogs on the Gold Tour on Friday (Nov.3). It was amazing! It was my first Souls show and definitely not my last. I liked hearing the old songs live, as those were the only ones I knew. Actually, I liked hearing all their songs live. I bought The Gold Record that night. It's fantastic, every song, fantastic. Back to the show, they played my favorites such as "True Believers," "Private Radio," and " Gone" among others. They didn't play "Manthem" which I would have liked to hear live. Now, on to the Street Dogs. They opened for the Bouncing Souls. I wasn't really a fan before, since I had only heard one song, and never really looked into their other stuff. However, I left a fan for life that night. They had so much energy. I was amazed. Sorry for my lack of better adjectives. I'm definitely seeing them again as well. Also, I plan on picking up their cds soon. You should too. You should also go purchase the entire Bouncing Souls discography, listen to it, and LOVE it. Ok, fine, you don't have to buy their entire discography. Just check them out. Before the Bouncing Souls and Street Dogs Left Alone and Whole Wheat Bread played. They were, I don't want to say miserably miserable, but they weren't exactly the best bands I've ever heard. Some people dug them and that's all well and fine. I just don't. Left Alone are a bad Rancid, whom I love by the way, impersonation. Whole Wheat Bread are just not good. But as I said before, if you like either of those bands, that's all well and fine. That's all I really have to say about that. I started high school in September. It's awesome so far. My Halloween was fun. I worked at the carnival down the street from my house, so I didn't get to go trick-or-treating. Oh well. I dressed up as Waldo from Where's Waldo. I looked pretty lame. I did get some sweet sunglasses for $2. They're a little crooked but I'll be sporting them next summer.

| Last night I saw The Loved Ones and Paint It Black. There really isn't much to say about it but "HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT ROCKED!" There weren't that many people there. Once again I was too shy to talk to anyone. I also got a lovely mixture of sweat and spit from Dave Hause, the lead singer of The Loved Ones sparyed in my eye so now it really hurts. But, who else can say they have Dave Hause's spit and sweat in their eye? Overall it was so fun.

| Last night was soooooooooooooooooooo awesome.I had such a great time.Armor For Sleep were great.Action Reaction,Chiodos, and Boys Noght Out played before them. They were ok.The Troubadour is such a cool place. It's small and intimate.During Boys Night Out's set I went to go buy a shirt. The merch was in a seperate little room where there is also a bar.PJ and Nash from Armor were hanging out with some kids.I wanted to go up to them and say hi or something but me being the shyest person ever was scared shitless to.Needless to say I didn't.I got my shirt and went back into the showroom as Boys Night Out were playing their last few songs. I'm not really a fan of B.N.O so I just kinda stood there and watched them finish up.As I was standing there, PJ and Nash come and stand right behind me.It kinda weirded me out because I don't like it when people do that but afterall it was PJ and Nash.It was cool because they weren't acting superior to the fans becasue they were in the band.I also saw Ben coming down the stairs with his girlfriend and I was scared to talk to him too.Where Anthony was I don't know. Now I look back at that and I kick myself ror not saying hi or talking to them.Damn it Dan,why do you have to be so shy.
